Since the establishment of the Party for the Animals, there has been a great increase in media and public interest in animal welfare. We are often asked for interviews and other media appearances. The public is now far more aware of the animal suffering, which is going on around them. Naturally, there are still more souls to win over, and there is certainly a large group of people who deny the existence of these animal welfare problems altogether. However, the animal rights movement continues to grow, and we are determined to continue to fulfil our role as the driving force behind the political and social discussion with verve.
The foreign media and public have also shown a great deal of interest in our activities ever since our establishment. Other animal welfare parties have now also been set up in other countries, such as the UK, Germany, Canada and Spain. We hope that many more countries will also follow suit. International collaboration is important in our endeavours to create a society that truly treats animals with respect. Indeed, many animal welfare problems do not stop at national borders. In this era of globalisation, with the intensive cooperation between countries and trade agreements that transcend national borders, it is crucial that the international animal rights movement also joins forces politically.
