Animal Justice Party de la Finlande dorénavant officiel
Le Parti pour la Justice Animale (Animal Justice Party) de la Finlande fut officiellement enregistré comme parti le 20 septembre! Le parti a recueilli les 5000 cartes de sympathisants nécessaires afin de joindre le registre finlandais des partis politiques. Les prochaines étapes pour le parti seront de participer aux élections locales au printemps de 2017 et par après, aux élections parlementaires en 2019.
De préoccupation mondiale à action locale
Des gens dans le monde entier commencent à se préoccuper des coûts globaux environnementaux et sociaux de l’agriculture animale. Au cours des prochaines décennies, les décisions importantes liées au changement climatique, l’extinction des espèces et la perte d’habitats, où l’on s’éloignera de la production animale joueront un rôle clé. Ces décisions définiront le type d’environnement que notre planète fournira pour nous et pour les autres animaux dans un proche avenir.
Le Animal Justice Party en Finlande fait partie de ce mouvement international croissant où les questions au sujet des droits des animaux deviennent politisées. Le parti finlandais vise à répondre aux défis mondiaux au niveau local par la promotion de l’égalité des espèces et des alternatives pour l’agriculture animale. Lors des élections locales, l’ordre du jour du parti consiste à accroître la connaissance des avantages environnementaux et sanitaires de l’alimentation à base de plantes. Dans la pratique, cela signifierait que l’on fournit des repas végétaliens dans le secteur public et que les subventions agricoles sont dirigées vers la production végétale.
Coopération internationale
Le Animal Justice Party de la Finlande a participé aux rencontres internationales de politique animale organisées par la Animal Politics Foundation. La présidente du Animal Right Party de la Finlande Saana-Maria Majatie considère la coopération internationale comme importante:
‘Il est possible de remarquer des similitudes quant à la progression dans la montée des partis pour les droits des animaux dans le monde entier. Même si ce type d’action politique a commencé en Europe, il y a déjà des partis des droits des animaux aux États-Unis, au Canada, en Australie et récemment aussi en Asie, au Taïwan’, commente Majatie.
The Animal Justice Party of Finland was registered as an official party on 20.09.2016. The party collected 5000 supporter cards required in order to join the Finnish register of political parties. The next steps for the party will be participating in local elections in spring 2017. Parliamentary elections will follow on year 2019.
From global concern to local action
The global environmental and social costs of animal agriculture are starting to concern people worldwide. During the next decades the important decisions related to climate change, species extinctions and habitat loss are being made where moving away from animal production plays a key role. These decisions define what kind of environment our planet will provide us and for the other animals to live in in the near future.
The Animal Justice Party of Finland is a part of this increasing international movement where animal right questions are being politicized. Party is aiming to respond to global challenges in local level by promoting equality beyond species and alternatives for animal agriculture. In local elections party’s agenda is to increase the knowledge of the environmental and health benefits of plant-based diet. In practice this would mean providing vegan meals in public sector and allocating farming subsidies towards plant production.
International co-operation
The Animal Justice Party of Finland has been participating in International Animal Politics – meetings organized by Animal Politics Foundation. The president of Animal Right Party of Finland Saana-Maria Majatie considers international co-operation important:
“It is possible to notice similarities of the progression in the rise of animal right parties worldwide. Even though this kind of political action has started in Europe there are already Animal Right Parties in United States, Canada, Australia and recently in Asia too, in Taiwan”, Majatie comments.
