Major Win for Party for the Animals in Dutch Municipal Elections

Hayvanalri Koruma Partisi geçen hafta yapılan belediye seçimleri sırasında en az 33 sandalyeyle, olağanüstü bir başarı sağlamış ve belediye meclisindeki sandalye sayısını neredeyse üç katına çıkarmıştır.

Hayvanları Koruma Partisi seçimlere ilk katıldığı tüm belediyelerde koltuklar fethedildi. Bazı belediyelerde parti üç kat daha büyüdü.

Marianne Thieme: “Parlamento seçimlerinin sonuçları, Hayvanları Koruma Partisinin koltuk sayısını ikiye katlandığını göstermişti. Bu eğilim belediye seçimlerindede aynı şekilde devam etti! Taş devrine ve büyük ölçekli felakete son vermek istiyen seçmenler giderek çoğalıyor. Muhalefette veya koalisyonda yer aldığımız tüm belediyelerde yeşil çapa olacağız ” dedi.

Belediye seçimlerinden hemen önce, Amsterdam Hayvanları Koruma Partisi Belediye Meclis Üyesi Johnas van Lammeren, Hollanda’nın En İyi Meclis Üyesi seçildi. Hollandalı çeşitli siyasi partilerin yüzlerce diğer adayına karşı yarıştı. Ödülle ilgili olarak, jüri Van Lammeren hakkında şunları söyledi: “Van Lammeren çalışmalarından dolayı birçok kişi tarafından övgüyle karşılandı. O sadece bir fikir adamı değil, aynı zamanda fikirlerini mecliste hayata geçiren bir adam ”. Son yıllarda Beldiye Meclisinde düzinelerce plana rehberlik etti ve bir partinin değişikliklere neden olmak için illa büyük olması gerekmediğini gösterdi.

The Dutch Party for the Animals enjoyed a dramatic growth in last week’s municipal elections, gaining a number of 33 seats, thereby nearly tripling its number of seats on local councils.

Party for the Animals team celebrates victory in elections

The Party for the Animals gained seats in every municipality in which it participated. In a few municipalities, the party even tripled in size.

Marianne Thieme: “The outcome of the general elections already showed a doubling of seats for the party for the Animals. This trend has continued with the municipal elections! More and more voters want to end this Stone Age and the large-scale environmental degradation. We will be the green anchor in all municipalities in which we took part, in the opposition or the coalition.”

Just before the municipal elections took place, council member and head of the Party for the Animals in Amsterdam Johnas van Lammeren was elected Best Council Member in the Netherlands. He was competing against hundreds of other candidates from different Dutch political parties. During the ceremony the jury said: “Van Lammeren is praised by many for his work. He is not only a man of ideas, he brings those ideas to life in the council.” In the past years, Van Lammeren has pushed through dozens of plans in the local council on his own, showing everyone that even the smallest political party can make a change.
